Planning Pointers
-
Your DJ wants to be part of the festivities. Please be sure to let us know if you are planning a theme event, such as Hawaiian, Disco, Western, 50s, etc.
-
Ceremony and reception at the same location? If so, consider using your DJ to provide the ceremony music.
-
Although our DJs are familiar with many venues throughout central Indiana, it is helpful to provide an accurate map to your event.
-
Have the DJ set up prior to guest arrival and begin playing as guests arrive.
-
When planning the seating arrangement, please keep in mind that older guests prefer to be away from the music, and tables should not be placed between the DJ and the dance floor. (See diagram.)
-
Be sure to inform your DJ if the event is outdoors, steps are involved in the set up, or additional equipment is needed, such as a cassette player.
-
It is important for us to have up-to-date information. If your address or telephone number changes, please be sure to contact us.
-
Many clients ask about gratuity. Gratuity is always optional, but is always appreciated for good service.
-
Planning to pay by credit card? We like to receive credit card payments prior to the event in order to process the transaction and provide you with a signed copy of the receipt.
-
Please make sure the DJ has a clear path to the place of set up and a sturdy banquet style table is available.
-
It is important for our electrical equipment to have a clean power source (dedicated circuit).
-
From Spring through Fall many events are planned outdoors. If your event is outdoors, please keep in mind that the DJ and equipment must be protected from direct sun, rain, wind, and evening dew. We will not set up the equipment for an outdoor event in eminent weather conditions. Should we need to move our equipment from the original set-up location, a $50.00 service fee is added per incident. Our best suggestion is to locate the DJ under a tent or other type of shelter.
